In 2016, the Georgia Family Connection Partnership (GaFCP) rebranded itself to reinforce our identity and strengthen our statewide network.  This summer, we conducted a statewide survey of coordinators and partners to determine whether our brand is still strong, recognizable, and evokes trust.  Continue reading for highlights from this survey as shared by Gaye Smith, GaFCP Executive Director.

An Enduring Tradition of Trust

If we hope to help all children, families, and communities thrive, we need to first clearly, consistently, and intentionally communicate our vision, mission, and core values.  We’re working to ensure that our unique brand is still strong, recognizable, and evokes trust.  That’s why we asked you to respond to our statewide brand refresh survey this summer.  Here are some highlights:

  • Most respondents describe Georgia Family Connection and GaFCP with these words: conveners, collaborators, facilitators, statewide, partnership, unique.
  • Respondents recognized tangible value adds that GaFCP offers: data, technical assistance, funding support, and more.
  • Respondents identified a wide variety of roles Collaboratives, the statewide network, and GaFCP play – but indicated that we need to improve consistency in how we communicate those roles.
  • Respondents identified opportunities to improve the consistency in how the Georgia Family Connection brand is used across the Collaboratives, the statewide network, and GaFCP.
  • Respondents perceive that people are aware that Georgia Family Connection is doing valid work in the community – but we need to better clarify how we’re doing it.

Your voice is vital, and the insight you provided is essential to our process of reinforcing our identity and strengthening our brand.  Thank you for guiding us as we work to ensure that everything we say and produce remains authentic and speaks the same language so that our relevance endures.

As we take time to reflect on what we’re thankful for, please know that I’m grateful for you and how you inspire me.  Happy Thanksgiving.  I look forward to seeing you at our conference.

Be well, be safe, and stay connected.
