PROJECT AWARE SUMMIT INVITATION “LEADING BY CONVENING” Griffin-Spalding County Schools is one of three school districts in the state to be a part of the Project AWARE Grant. The purpose of this federally funded grant is to increase awareness of mental health issues among school-aged youth, provide training for school personnel, and other adults who interact with school-aged youth, to detect and respond to mental health issues in children and young adults, and connect children, youth and families who may have behavioral health issues with appropriate services. Our intent is to develop a comprehensive, coordinated plan and to advance wellness and resilience in school-age children.
You are invited to be a part of this exciting and very important work. We will be discussing current resources, barriers and solutions.
Please join us on Thursday, February 26th, 2015 from 12:30 until 4 pm at the Griffin Welcome Center located at 143 N. Hill Street, Griffin, GA.
