DECAL is partnering with Quality Care for Children (QCC) to help parents find summer camps and child care programs for the summer. Parents can verify their camps by calling 1-877-ALL-GA-KIDS (877-255-4254) to see if it is either licensed or exempt from licensing. This free service is available Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m., and on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FLINT RIVER REGIONAL LIBRARY
Did you know that kids who don’t practice reading during the summer can lose up to three months of reading ability?
Georgia’s public libraries have a fun and educational Summer Reading Program in every county, where kids of every age can discover a love for reading and experience programs from puppet shows to robotics to gardening.
In many libraries, kids also can get a hot meal, bridging the gap for the more than 60 percent of families who rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school year.
Prevent the summer learning slide, and help your child be ready for school in the fall, through your local library.
