Bridging the Gap of Poverty through Relationships.
The Opportunity Community model is a national movement designed to create the types of communities we all want to live in. Efforts focus on increasing the capacity of our Neighbors living in the crisis of poverty by pairing them with trained community volunteers, called Navigators, who facilitate access to resources and support for moving out and staying out of poverty. The Neighbor-Navigator connection is unique to each pair and can be as short as 6-12 months, or can create a lifetime friendship. For more information click HERE to see our one-page flyer.
Navigator Training has been scheduled for January 26-27, 2021 and Opportunity Community Conference will be held April 24, 2021. Click HERE for the schedule and registration links for classes. All classes are to be held at the Spalding County Extension Office, 835 Memorial Drive, Griffin.

There are many different roles to play. We need teams to assist with the Opportunity Conference in April. We need volunteers to help with decorations, gift bags, registration, child care, food, and transportation. Let us help you find your role in the Opportunity Community.
