The Fourth Annual Spalding Collaborative Authority for Children and Families, Inc. signature event, The Healthy Children Conference, will this year partner with UGA Griffin, Project AWARE, and all initiatives of the Spalding Collaborative including Healthy Youth and Senior Issues Committees. The conference is called the Healthy U Conference and will again be held at UGA – Griffin campus featuring experts on topics affecting health and wellness across the lifespan, not just children! Participants can choose 3 of 18 presentation choices ranging in topics including: low birthweight and premature babies, nutrition across the lifespan, literacy, parenting skills, trends with Millennials, social media impact, transportation, mental health wellness. Parents, caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and the general public are invited to attend day of learning about how to create a culture of community wellness. We are expecting @ 175 participants!
The conference will be held on the University of Georgia Griffin Campus on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 8:30 until 2pm for attendees and 8am – 3pm for conference exhibitors. There is no registration fee for attendees thanks to our extremely generous sponsors. Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all attendees.
