Domestic Violence Task Force
Vanessa Wilkins, Chair

Chandra Wilson, Co-Chair

February 25, 2015
Dear Community Members:

The Griffin Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Task force meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Our task force is comprised of several agencies including law enforcement, FVIP providers, probation, DFCS and other community members. We are currently in the process of expanding our membership to include agencies and individuals local to Spalding County. The purpose of our task force is as follows:

  • To improve communication and working relationships in the community among agencies and personnel working for the prevention of domestic violence.
  • To improve ways of working with the problem of abuse, neglect, and battering, to include treatment and long term follow-up of the abused client (and the children).
  • To alert the community about domestic violence and its consequences.
  • To promote and encourage community advocacy against domestic violence.

If you are interested in serving on this task force, please contact Tammy Bradberry at 770-692-3333. The task force currently meets at the Fayette County courthouse; however, if we have enough interest in this community, meetings will be held locally and a representative from the local group chosen to attend the meeting in Fayette.

It is our hope that you will join with us to help prevent domestic violence.
